Web Site Down

The web site, is down. I am trying to contact our benefactor and owner who has provided his server for our web site for all these years. It is possible that the site will be moved. We have an offer from another of our members if our original site is lost.

<r>Hi All,<br/> &nbsp; I have added a new SLIM to the MSA project. It is called: SLIM-ADCMUX. It is a combination of an 8 channel analog multiplexer and a 16 bit serial ADC. The ADC can be the familiar AD7685 or the slightly less expensive LTC1864. The next software upgrade will include this mod...

Re: Phase Noise PLO1/PLO2

<t>Hi Viv and All,<br/> The quick answer to your question is yes, you are running into the PLO1 and PLO2 phase noise.<br/> The long answer is:<br/> &nbsp;Reference the graphs:<br/> &nbsp; The response of the filter while in the MSA is indicative of proper MSA operation. Yes, those "shoulders...

Win 8 and USB

<t>Hi All,<br/> Last week, an MSA user came up with a problem. His MSA is using Cypress USB, Liberty Basic, and Wind 8.1. Upon starting his MSA software, it would sweep a few times and then the Magnitude would drop to -120 dBm. It would continue sweeping at that level and give no errors. Halting and...

Re: 1 GHz super narrow bandwidth

<t>Hi Deval and All,<br/> &nbsp; An interesting question. Cavities with Q's higher than 50,000 have been built and documented, but all I have seen have been used as an oscillator element. Most of them are made from rare superconductor material and ruby coated resonators, and operated at temperat...
