Coax Relays

Post by Sam » Sun Nov 13, 2011 11:24 pm

For anyone interested in coax relays for switching functions, such as the input switch or band switch, there are presently listed on eBay three items that have two 12V relays (they work fine at 10V) connected with coax, and an attenuator thrown in for good measure, now bid at $24.99 wit one day to go. Search for SMA relay and you will find them. If you want to see everything available, search for SMA relay and SMA switch.

The vast majority of available coax relays seem to be 24V or 28V. If you want to use that type, my 23V power supply board may provide the voltage you need. If not, a simple resistor change can increase the voltage (but you will also need higher voltage capacitors--35V vs. 25V).
