Integrated USB-MSA project -- PCB layout is underway: with a surpris

Post by spyker49 » Tue Apr 09, 2013 11:14 am

Hello group

4 PCB are being laid out using Altium. It will be organised as one pallete with 4 MSA CB size boards. I will get PCB costs to the groups ASAP.

(1) Upgraded MSA CB board

(2) Matching Cypress CPU board - no software mods to liberty or cypress

(3) Matching Prototype lash up board. Roll your own I/F.

(4){SURPRISE} Matching PCB[4] is for installing a NXP ARM MBED LPC1768 module USB+Ethernet+serial+ADC all in a tiny 2" x 1" module. Has a standard 40 pin DIL 0.1" pin out. The module is $50.

My motivation: A friend used this module and NXP web site compiler to develop an Web based solar panel monitor in just one weekend!

My vision for this new PCB is a mid level MSA controller that will do single/multiple scans completely on its own with only a single command from the HOST PC or FRUIT. And lots of memory room and the grunt to do low level RF signal processing maths.

I promise all stupifying software discussions will take place on the new MSA groups software site.

Regards len
